Tail Coal Slurry Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge

A Tail Coal Slurry Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge is a high-capacity, continuous-operation industrial machine used in coal preparation plants to separate ultrafine coal powder from water. It leverages high centrifugal forces (often up to 3,000 to 3,500 Gs) to produce a dry, manageable solid "cake" and clear water ("centrate") that can be immediately reused in the washing process.

Principle

1.Slurry Feeding: The fine tailing slurry is pumped continuously through a stationary inlet pipe into a fast-spinning, horizontal cylindrical bowl.

2.G-Force Sedimentation: High-speed rotation forces heavy solids to settle rapidly against the inner walls of the bowl.

3.Mechanical Conveying: An internal screw conveyor (scroll) rotates in the same direction but at a slightly different speed, pushing the packed solids up an inclined cone ("beach") toward the discharge port.

4.Dual Discharge: Cleared water leaves through adjustable liquid ports at one end, while the dried solid cake drops out of the opposite end.
